My HP printer has an issue printing in grayscale. They seem to only print in different colors.
HP business printers use all the primary colors (cyan, magenta, and yellow) to create shades of gray when Printing in Grayscale is selected in the printer driver. The printer driver is not designed to use only black ink when printing in grayscale. Run some cleaning tests to restore the missing primary color. You can also clean the print head by wiping it with dry cloth.
