My Lexmark Z705 printer goes through all the motions, but it doesn't leave ink on the printer. It's not a cartridge problem and I've tried downloading a new driver. Everything else is okay except for the fact that I can't print.

Use some rubbing alcohol to clean the contact on the ink and in the printer cartridge holder. Sounds like the print head in the ink cartridge is dirty.
