My brother recently gave me an Epson R200 printer with an ink system fitted. He hadn't used it for a while and the inks have gone 'sludgy'. Is there any way I can flush the bottles and cartridges to refill them?
What ever you do, don't run the head clean without replacing the ink. You'll kill the print head if the ink has gone 'sludgy' as you have said. Buy some cheap ink (refills will do) and run the maintenance routine until the lines printed are solid. While you are at it, ask your normal ink refill supplier if they can deal with the large CIS bottles.
