My installer takes a long time to recognize the Brother 115c printer. I've restarted my PC already, but no luck. It says to connect the USB to the machine and switch the machine on and wait for the installation to continue. I've done this before, and it installed smoothly but now, I reformatted it, and it cant be installed. What should I do?
If you connected the printer to the computer before installing the software, you could be in a little no-man's-land. Disconnect the printer, uninstall everything, restart, and then reinstall, and don't connect cable until you get prompted to by the installation. I assume you're connecting via USB. If you're using a USB hub, make sure it's a powered one, or try connecting directly without the hub. Empty ink won't have anything to do with it.
