No Communication between PC and Dell printer -does it have anything to do with firewalls?
It sounds like the printer is hooked up to the PC via a USB cable. 1. If you haven't already, try rebooting. 2. Unplug the USB cable from the back of the PC and try a different USB port. 3. Uninstall the printer from the Printers and Faxes tool, and then re-install the printer. You may want to reboot between the uninstall and re-install to be safe. 4. Go to the printer website and download the latest drivers. Honestly, it shouldn't have anything to do with the firewall unless you are trying to connect to the printer over your network.
