Ok, I admittedly I brought my Lexmark Z615 printer second hand with half filled ink cartridges and after setting it up the thing wont print. The paper runs through it but nothing comes out on the paper, I've tried cleaning the nozzles through the software etc. My dad advised me that maybe the ink has hardened as it has not been used for so long and has clogged up the 'jets' in the printer. Could he be right and does this mean its knackered?
This is normal with any inkjet printer. (It's just like a car that's run out of gas. That doesn't mean that there's anything with the car.) Just buy some new or remanufactured ink cartridges. The other thing you could do is clean them with rubbing alcohol but that most likely won't work.
