Since my Canon PIXMA mp160 is a used printer, it did not come with a CD. Where can I go to download hardware for this printer?
If you have the printer, then you do have the hardware. Hardware are physical components (things you can touch). what you are missing is the software/drivers. You can download the latter from Canon's support page.
