What should be done if the printouts from my Epson ink cartridges have horizontal white lines through them or are missing colors?
If the Epson ink cartridges are printing in black only, check to be sure that the ink option in the print driver or software is not set to print in black only. The ink nozzles may be clogged as well, which can cause the horizontal lines to appear. If this is the case, a print head cleaning and nozzle check can be performed, which will print out a nozzle test pattern. The head cleaning and nozzle test pattern should be repeated until the horizontal lines do not appear in the nozzle test pattern.
