When I do a printout with my Brother HL-2700CN, I get specks and lines -they are similar on any printout I do. When I do a photo, there is vertical banding. It doesn't appear to be low toner, as all the colors are there - what could be the problem?
Either there is something on the glass of your scanner or the drum is scratched on your cartridge (your black one). You can easily rule out the glass if you clean it and inspect it for scratches. It most likely is the drum. You can either go to a local Cartridge World and have them take a look at it or you'll have to buy a brand new cartrdige. If you just got it, call Brother and maybe they'll replace it. Brandon
