When you buy a new toner cartridge from HP, they send you a postal proof that you can put back on the box it comes in, tape the box back up with your old toner cartridge, and mail it back. Are they just asking you to send it back for recycling reasons, or are they going to fill it back up and send it back to you full? This is the 12 inch cartridge for an HP laserjet 5100.

No, they would not. But they would recycle the cartridges.
