Whenever I try to print from my Brother MFC 3340C , all it does is push out 5-6 sheets of blank paper. I have the ink cartridges in, but it still doesn't work. Why won't it?

Whenever I try to print from my Brother MFC 3340C , all it does is push out 5-6 sheets of blank paper. I have the ink cartridges in, but it still doesn't work. Why won't it?
If one cartridge dries out or is empty, it will not print anything. You may have to invest in new cartridges.
