Why does the LCD display the "No Cartridge" message even though I installed all the ink cartridges for my Brother printer?
Hopefully you don't have a bad print head here. Brother printers automatically clean themselves on start up. Take the Brother ink cartridges (mine is a 5840CN) and tip them sideways so the ink rests on the 'window' side (which the machine views to know how much is left). Hold it there for a few seconds and then install the cartridge and close the machine quickly. It will sometimes be tricked into thinking the cartridge is full.
