Why does the LCD display the message 'NO CARTRIDGE' even though I installed all the ink cartridges?
Hopefully, you don't have a bad print head here. Brother printers automatically clean themselves on start up. Take the Brother ink cartridges and tip them sideways so the ink rests on the 'window' side (which the machine views to know how much is left). Hold it there for a few seconds and then install the cartridge and close the machine quickly. It will sometimes be tricked into thinking the cartridge is full. Also, shaking the cartridge a bit (so the ink is full of bubbles) works, but it gets air into the print head. Take note, though, that this doesn't work all the time.
