Why does the printer indicate it is out of ink when printing for only a short time after installing a new ink cartridge?
Depending on the model of printer, it may have a pre-set limit on the printing volume of an ink cartridge. If a working ink cartridge is removed and replaced with a new cartridge, this limit may not be reset properly, causing the printer to indicate it is out of ink. The printer should be restarted and the ink cartridge removed and re-inserted again.
