Being a printer technician requires the proper certification (A+ certification) with manufacturer certification (i.e., Hewlett Packard, Okidata, etc…) Extensive experience with printer troubleshooting and repair will be required to become an effective printer technician. Technical computer courses and vocational computer technician courses usually cover printer repair on their list of subjects. There are also internships available which will give you much hands on training. Minimal computer experience is required to enter in these programs
