Navigate to the 'Add Printers' menu, available from Printers and Faxes under the Start menu.  From there, ensuring your printer is connected to your computer and activated, you will be required to add your printer via the installation wizard.  Insert the installation disc when prompted, or alternatively download the relevant printer driver from www.hp.com.  You will be required to point the wizard to the location of the driver, so save it in a memorable place if you're not taking it from the installation disc.  Follow the instructions to complete installation of your printer, and run a printer head cleaning cycle prior to printing.
