how to use older printer with laptop
Using an older printer with a laptop means you don't get the benefits of modern plug and play technology, although installing an old printer doesn't have to be a major hassle.  For installation, you will require the installation disc, although the older the printer the more likely this disc is no longer in your possession.  If you don't have the disc, you can still find the relevant drivers from your manufacturer's website, or if all else fails a major search engine might be able to provide you with a download link depending on your model.  Then simply connect the printer to your laptop and begin installation as with any other printer – work through the 'Add Printer' wizard, highlighting the driver when prompted, until completion.
