i have an Epson Stylus s20 and i brought some refilled cartridges. When I put them in, my computer says that the ink cartridges cannot be recognized every time I try to print. What can I do?

i have an Epson Stylus s20 and i brought some refilled cartridges. When I put them in, my computer says that the ink cartridges cannot be recognized every time I try to print. What can I do?
There are definite compatibility issues with Epson cartridges. Many of the cartridges that vendors are selling are older Epson cartridges, and they simply won't work in newer Epson printers.
