- I bought a new canon pixma ip4500 about a month or so ago. I installed the original canon cartridges that came free with it and the print out quality was excellent. The cartridges eventually ran out so i got the red (CLI-8M) and black (PGI-5BK) refilled and bought the other 4 colours out of a computer shop. i had to take the chip off original cartridges and put them onto them. The printer continued to printout in excellent quality but now the ink levels are under half way my printouts are coming out terrible. Either in the absolute wrong colour or with green and red stripes through. Ive used all the built in cleaning things that can be accessed in the printers menu and its still doing it. When I print out a nozzle check pattern, the pattern comes out perfect. What should I do?

- I just bought a brand new color #57 cartridge for my HP 7660 printer because I had an issue with the old one and I thought buying a new one would fix the problem. - I still have a half of ink left in my black cartridge in my Dell 922 printer. Now all of a sudden all of my documents are printing the documents with smeared black thick lines running horizontally. - I have an Epson Stylus CX5500 3-in-1 printer. After one Black ink cartridge was expended, I bought NEW GENUINE ink cartridge from Epson. But, this ink cartridge was not recognized by printer. However, I found that Epson printer software (status monitor) can correctly display this new ink cartridge information, including ink type, cartridge code, and production date. Another fact is that printer can still correctly recognize the old ink cartridge. I can make sure that this problem was not caused by my operation error and the new ink cartridge was not damaged. - My HP LJ 5M is printing one faded pink stripe on pages in the same location on printouts. Stripe is about 3/4 inch high. Nothing odd seen on toner cartridge (recycled but otherwise fine), transfer roller or fuser. Printer is clean with no evidence of any pink substance. Paper is natural bond letterhead, but no pink and no stripe that could be picked up and transferred back onto the paper. Very strange! What should I do?
