Last year, I used my Brother HL-2040 laser printer at least one per week (not a lot). Over the summer, I didn't use it at all. This year, when I went to print a page, it comes out with these black spots on every page. I have a Canon i470D printer, after i changed my black ink cartridge about a month (or 2 months ago) I realized that every time I print my homework/essay in draft or in standard quality, my homework would not print completely (as if I am low on black ink). But, everything seems fine when I print in high quality. Now, I changed my ink cartridge, but the same problem persists. I have a Canon i550 printer which has been doing a lot of photos. The problem is when i try to print 3 photo's on a page the 3rd photo always has a mark across the bottom like a smudge mark. I have changed the inks,done a deep clean,uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and still have the problem, also when i do a nozzle check it shows the black and cyan as ok,the magenta and yellow hardly show up. Is there anyone that knows how to resolve this problem. By the way the printer is approx 3 years old so could it be knackered Any help would be appreciated and worth 10 points.?

I have a question about my Canon PIXMA i600 printer: Why will it not print in color It's supposed to be a picture printer. I have all the necessary software, and hardware, and various paper. My ink cartridges aren't empty and yet this only prints what looks like dot matrix -poor quality.It will not print in color even though my color ink cartridge is full. Is it a setting I tried aligning cartrages, cleaning them, and everything. It still only prints lousy black and white images that look more like a bunch of connect-the-dots rather than a photograph.?
We have a Dell A920 that we haven't used for quite a while. When we tried to print, it came out very light. I went through the cleaning and aligning steps with now differing results. My question is, 'Do I only need new ink cartridges (I removed them and put them in a ziploc bag and they leak so I am wondering if they have ink) or is there something wrong with the printer?

I've got an Epson R2400, the photo prints look great on Epson paper; but I'm having trouble printing on plain paper. The prints look like someone just smeared some dull ink over the paper. There is no gradients in the colors, no detail and looks very dark and muddy. Does anyone know how to make it print properly on plain paper?
I am importing .bmp format tif files into Adobe Photoshop, cropping, and making a plate in Corel Draw 12. It has never acted up until now. The print colours are just horrendous. I have an Epson C42UX printer which I am having problems with, the quality of my printouts are poor including horizontal lines appearing when I print in economy. I haven't used the printer in ages and have recently got a new black cartridge for it. I already have a color cartridge and both are third-party. I have used third-party cartridges before without problems. I have ran the nozzle check and head cleaning programs several times with varying results: Sometimes the black hardly prints out, and sometimes it does. This is the same for the rest of the colors.?
I havn`t used my Epson DX6000 for a couple of months because it was out of ink. I just put 4 new cartridges in today and cleaned the heads but the pictures look a mess. It has probably only printed about 30- 40 pages before today so it`s not worn out. Would it be better to clean the heads several times?

I have a color laser printer (HP color laser jet 2605dn) and when I went to my eye doctor's website to print out the paperwork I needed, it printed out the boxed areas, the areas where I write in my information in red. Why isn't my printer printing the same colors as on the screen?
I have a Samsung CLP-300 Series Colour Laser printer. As I print, the black is faded on one side, but not on the other. The colour toners/images are unaffected. All toners are full. I use it a lot for my lecture notes and all that jazz. I read that it might be the imaging unit or some sort of roller(), but those are expensive (not to mention have no clue what it does) and I dont want to go out and buy one and realize that I didnt even fix the problem. Any help Anyone have the same problem?
I bought the Samsung CLP300 and the results were great at the beginning(two months ago of spare usage in color), but now the copies come out with a brush of yellow or green ink at one side of the copy, making impossible to print anything but black and white. I have cleaned it thoroughly but the yellowish lines are still there. What do you think is the reason?

I have had a Samsung ML-2010 or Samsung ML-2510 throughout my entire 4 years of college. During those 4 years, I have gone through 7 toners (and I print a lot). I just installed a brand new toner from Samsung and it has already died - it lasted about 2 weeks, which is a big change from the norm of 6-7 MONTHS!
